Project Description
Hunt Industries self-performed all of the structural/mechanical installation for the dry end of this wood pellet facility including installation of belt and chain conveyors, screw conveyors, hammermills, pellet mills, coolers, bins, chutework and the complete truck load-out system. This was an extremely fast-track project and our portion of the project was completed in a four-month period, despite being interrupted by a major hurricane. Advanced Vessel and Alloy (a division of Hunt Industries, Inc.) fabricated all of the structural steel (approximately 600 tons) along with the handrail, grating, and checkered plate for the Green End and Dry End of this pellet mill. Fabrications included the Chipper Building, Bark Hog Structure, Conveyor Transfer Towers, Hammer mill Building, Pellet Mill Building and Pellet Screen Structure and included both galvanized and shop coated materials. AVA also fabricated a major portion of the chute work for this Project. We completed this project on time, within budget and without a lost-time accident on the project
